Join the Northern Rascals Board

We’re looking for new Board members to join Northern Rascals as we step into our next chapter; sharing our work more widely than ever before and building the sustainability and resilience of the company.

Northern Rascals is a multidisciplinary performance company based in Calderdale, creating contemporary dance-theatre rooted in Northern stories, human experience, socially and politically conscious themes, and a playful spirit. We make work that’s collaborative, welcoming and grounded in our communities.

After an exciting eight years, we’re looking forward to 2026 with a new business plan in place and a host of creative projects, including the development of our new show, Coiners, inspired by the Cragg Vale Coiners, and touring our acclaimed production of Sunny Side nationwide. 

Growing our Board is a key part of our next phase. As a CIC, our Board helps keep our work in the public interest and supports our co-Directors, Anna and Sam, with advice, insight and fresh perspectives.

You don’t need Board experience to join us - we’re interested in your skills, lived experience and curiosity. We want a Board that reflects our work and our audiences, made up of participants of all ages, backgrounds and places across the UK. We welcome applications from underrepresented groups.
